Travel Nurse Job Details

- Duration: 12-week contract
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts/week (18:45 - 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (13 L&D rooms, 2 ORs, ~200 deliveries/month)
- Scrubs: Provided by facility
- Charting: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Possible within Women's Service Line
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license (required for submission)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (all required)
- Proficiency in obstetric, preterm, and pregnancy care
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Ability to float within Women's Service Line as needed
- Two supervisory references (Manager or above) required
- Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation requirements
L&D RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM)
- Assist with and recover C-sections and vaginal deliveries
- Perform sterile vaginal exams, triage obstetrical patients, and circulate for C-sections
- Administer medications including Pitocin (oxytocin) and insulin drips
- Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Document patient care accurately using Epic and SBAR communication standards
- Participate in unit-based assignments, including floating within Women's Service Line
- Work every other weekend and be available for holiday coverage as required
